The Visitor Services Supervisor at the Muscarelle Museum of Art is at the forefront of ensuring an exceptional and welcoming visitor experience that is reflective of the Museum’s mission. The Supervisor will assist, train, and supervise all aspects of visitor services at the Muscarelle Museum of Art: reception desk, timed admissions, monitoring galleries, program/event registration, scheduling of gallery monitors and volunteers, managing and scheduling tour requests, and gathering visitation data.
Required qualifications include exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with the diverse populations and communities that the Muscarelle Museum of Art serves; high school graduate or equivalent; highly organized and detailed oriented, self-starter with a proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects simultaneously; and must possess strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn modules, point of sale system, etc.
Up to $45,000, commensurate with experience, including retirement benefits, health insurance with options for expanded dental and vision along with group and optional life insurance with coverage for spouse and children, flexible spending accounts, and an EAP (Employee Assistance Program).
This full-time position will require additional hours beyond the typical work week, to occasionally include evenings and weekends as needed. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc., as directed and approved by the supervisor. This is a restricted position subject to the availability of funding.
