POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Wolfsonian–Florida International University seeks an experienced curator to contribute to the interpretation and development of its singular and diverse collection of modern art and design. The core of The Wolfsonian’s 200,000 items is an extraordinary collection of decorative arts, fine arts, propaganda, architectural materials, and industrial and graphic design from the period 1850 to 1950.
The curator shares responsibility for cataloging, researching, interpreting, publishing, and caring for the collection, including the full range of activities related to The Wolfsonian’s ambitious exhibition program, as well as the documentation, care, and development of the collection. This position serves as an advocate and spokesperson for the collection in the museum, on campus, and beyond while interacting with a wide variety of constituencies.
Salary Range; $70,000-$80,000

The Wolfsonian considers objects as both agents and expressions of cultural, political, and technological changes. The museum is located in the heart of Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco architectural district and is part of Florida International University (FIU), a rapidly growing urban public research university.
