Part-Time Temporary: 3 days per week
This position will assist the office of Art Collections & Exhibitions in all aspects of exhibition and permanent collections programming. Exhibition responsibilities include: promotion of events (press calendar listings (30+), email blasts creation and maintenance, external mailings); event scheduling and catering; art work shipping and loan forms; gallery billing and invoicing; mailing list updates and maintenance; receptions and special events candid photography, editing and social media posts, and ordering supplies. Permanent Collection responsibilities include: wrapping artwork on campus and to off-site storage; all billing and invoicing; community, staff, and faculty inquiries and assistance. The position is 3 days per week for 1 year.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and previous art gallery or art collection experience is required. Candidates should have an understanding of industry standards, exhibition production, an interest in the visual arts, and awareness of a liberal arts college community and nuances. Candidates must also have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Mac platforms, an ability to multitask in a fast-paced office, and strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Photoshop and Mail Chimp experience is highly desirable. Must be safety conscious, able to work with a diverse group of individuals, and available to work during evening gallery events 6-8 times per calendar year.
