The University of Minnesota’s School of Architecture and Goldstein
Museum of Design are offering a traveling exhibition that explores innovative
housing development in the Netherlands that has great relevance for housing
in the U.S. Consider this opportunity especially if your faculty is
advancing state-or-the-art housing and urban design.
The exhibition is guest curated by Professor Julia Robinson and inspired by
her book *Complex Housing: Designing for Density* (Routledge 2018). Like
the book, the exhibition introduces the audience to the cultural and
political background that generated these multi-family projects, analyzes
eight case studies using typological methodology, and draws conclusions
for identifying the requisites for replication elsewhere. Rental fee is $500
for a one-time use of the digital file and you are welcome to print it on
mountable boards (left image at University of Minnesota) or print and pin
it (right image at Mississippi State University). See attached for
information on exhibition layout and content.
Thank you for your consideration of this exhibition exploring a
ground-breaking type of urban housing. Contact me at lnelsonm@umn.edu with
questions about this opportunity.
