AAMG and our members actively promote thoughtful investigation into and dialogue about the possible and desirable roles of the campus art museum in the twenty-first century. The Cultural Policy Center at the University of Chicago and its partners facilitated just such a dialogue among a select group of leaders in the field this past May and the summary report is now complete. Of course, and as is intended by this project, the conversation continues.
The report, which you can download here, adds content and context to the discussion and might help you further explore the topics with your staff, supporters, campus administration and peers. Please feel free to share your thoughts on the AAMG ListServ or on the AAM’s Center for the Future of Museums blog (http://futureofmuseums.blogspot.com)
