Curator: Mactaggart Art Collection, University of Alberta

The University of Alberta Museums seeks a dynamic, creative, and team-oriented Curator for the Mactaggart Art Collection, one of the leading North American collections of Ming and Qing dynasty art. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Curator will work with the UofA Museums Team and other sectors of the University of Alberta, to build upon recent accomplishments and further position the Mactaggart Art Collection among the world’s preeminent Asian Art Collections. The Curator, Mactaggart Art Collection, will be responsible for: collection development, independent curatorial research related to the Collection and the Curator’s areas of expertise, facilitating new acquisitions, ensuring physical and intellectual access to the Mactaggart Art Collection, contributing to collections policy and procedure development, maintaining professional museum practices, and contributing to fund and resource development related to the Collection.
