The Penn Museum is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Development for Development and Alumni Relations to play a pivotal role in advancing the strategic vision for a globally renowned institution dedicated to anthropological and archaeological research and education. As a member of the Museum’s senior leadership team, the Director will lead the strategy and execution of a comprehensive fundraising program, leveraging their proven expertise in advancement to cultivate philanthropic support and propel the institution to new heights of excellence. The Director will join a vibrant community of scholars, curators, and development professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding the human experience. In this role, you will: • Develop and implement multi-year strategic plans for private and public fundraising initiatives, aligning with institutional priorities and capital campaign objectives. • Cultivate and steward a robust pipeline of prospects, donors, and volunteer leaders, engaging key stakeholders to advance the Museum’s quest for gift and grant support. • Provide mentorship and management to a team of seven development professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence as they execute fundraising initiatives and strengthen engagement across the Museum and its communities. • Lead major campaigns, including the renovation of iconic spaces and the development of groundbreaking exhibitions, driving fundraising efforts to preserve the Museum’s prominence and ensure its long-term sustainability.
