The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • From conception and research to analysis and design, work with the curatorial team to prepare various deliverables for the firm’s client meetings, both for digital communications and in-person engagements. This includes comparable reports and market data visualizations, collated object offers, short-form and time-sensitive narrative content, as well as documents related to art world travel, educational presentations and other content
  • Research and generate an analysis of art news and relevant content for the firm
  • Assist the curatorial team with internal exhibition and artist research as it relates to the global exhibition, art fair, and auction calendar
  • Coordinate the auction process for the firm and its clients
  • Maintain and manage the firm’s archive and other data management systems
  • Occasional office-related and administrative tasks to support our small team

Qualifications:

  • Deep passion and curiosity for contemporary art and culture
  • Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal skills and strong desire to be part of a small, entrepreneurially-minded team
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and conversations simultaneously, and think ahead for maximum effectiveness
  • A desire and ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment, illustrate problem-solving acumen, and maintain poise navigating shifting priorities and varying needs
  • Facility with the Google Suite and Adobe suite of products including PowerPoint and Excel; fluency with InDesign and Adobe strongly preferred, fluency in Artlogic a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in art history or a related field
  • Foreign language skills a plus
  • Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years’ (post intern) experience at a leading contemporary art gallery, auction house, or advisory firm
  • This role at times requires flexibility of working hours based on the global art and auction schedule

Compensation based on experience; flex work schedules/hybrid working options available.
